Forced into quarantine, I have found myself paring back---my social contacts, my diet, everything, including in my art, where I have tried in these works to express the feeling of Tucson in summer using the simplest shapes and fields of color possible. Banished from the studio, I have also focused on works that could be executed simply at home, for instance, drypoint etchings printed by hand using the weight of my own body.
